A rationalization of the classic framework (which you all use day in day out in everything EXCEPT iOS)
And the good parts of the new framework (ie/ iOS) moved to underpin the classic API's

The other thing to be aware of that was mentioned way back when the presentation was given is that many things _may_ get renamed to have more consistent names and the old ones deprecated
So all indexes will be 0 based
Events that are similar across controls will have similar event names

So if you are one who checks their project from time to time once API 2.0 is shipped you will probably find there are tons of "deprecated with a replacement" warnings
